OCEAN ALLIANCE ROLLS OUT NEW SERVICE NETWORK

The OCEAN Alliance, comprising CMA CGM, COSCO, Evergreen, and OOCL, has unveiled its updated service network, dubbed "DAY 8 Product."

Following a five-year extension of their collaboration, the alliance of these four ocean carriers is introducing a new program to address the challenges arising from the volatile conditions in the Red Sea.

Set to start in April, the DAY 8 Product will feature:

  • The deployment of 321 container vessels, with 119 belonging to the CMA CGM Group.
  • A global offering of 35 services.
  • A combined capacity nearing 4.5 million TEUs.

Under the DAY 8 Product, OCEAN Alliance will provide the following services from and to Asia:

  • Six services linking Asia with Northern Europe.
  • Four services connecting Asia with the Mediterranean.
  • Twenty Transpacific services, comprising eight between Asia and the U.S. East Coast and twelve between Asia and the U.S. West Coast and Canada.
  • Two Transatlantic services bridging Northern Europe and North American ports.
  • Three services between Asia and the Persian Gulf ports.

Concurrently, due to the region's instability, the OCEAN Alliance will pause its two services between Asia and the Red Sea until further notice.
