Handling Capacity and Port Area

Giresunport has an annual handling capacity of 3,000,000 tons of dry cargo and 1,000,000 tons of general cargo. The total port area is 94,000 m⊃2;, which includes 29,800 m⊃2; of covered warehouse space and 64,200 m⊃2; of customs-cleared open area. Additionally, there are special parking areas for cars and trucks within the port.

Dock and Quay Features

The dock length is 800 meters with a maximum draft capacity of -10 meters, providing ideal conditions for large ships to dock easily.

The port is equipped with modern machinery necessary for cargo handling operations:

  • Cranes: 5 units (Capacity: 63, 25, 8, 5, 2.2 tons)
  • Loaders: 4 units (Capacity: 21.2, 18.6, 10 tons)
  • Bobcats: 2 units (Capacity: 3 tons each)
  • Forklifts: 3 units (Capacity: 10, 5, 3.5 tons)
  • Stacker: 1 unit (Capacity: 45 tons)
